Sharon Toerek is Principal of Toerek Law, a national intellectual property and marketing law firm focused on helping professionals in the advertising, marketing and creative services industries protect and monetize their intellectual capital, and manage the legal implications of their marketing and advertising work.
Toerek is also a frequent speaker to professional organizations, advertising agencies, in-house marketing teams, on marketing industry legal issues. Her speaking experience includes presentations for the Ad Age Small Agency Conference, Content Marketing World, BOLO, The Brand Establishment, and Agency Management Institute Conferences.
Toerek is also the Publisher of the marketing industry legal blog Legal + Creative, and is the creator of the Legal + Creative Agency Protection System, a legal education and support tool for marketing and ad firms.
Toerek is passionate about supporting small business and entrepreneurship, and also about contributing to economic development activities in the region. She serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE), of which she is a Past Chair, on the Board and Executive Committee of the Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP), as a Trustee of the National Small Business Association (NSBA), a Director of the American Advertising Federation Cleveland, and served as a Board Director of the former Team NEO.
