Scott Oldham is a licensed intellectual property attorney with more than 30 years of experience advising small to large businesses and entrepreneurs on the wide variety of legal and intellectual property matters commonly encountered by virtually all businesses, and particularly with technology based businesses. Scott has extensive experience in the private practice of law assisting early stage technology companies, public and private companies and entrepreneurs with patent, trademark and copyright matters, licensing and technology agreements and other intellectual property matters. Scott is currently a partner at the national law firm of Hahn, Loeser & Parks, with offices throughout Ohio, Chicago, San Diego, Indianapolis and Florida.
Scott was Chair of the Intellectual Property Advisory Council for many years and still serves on this Board, and as an adjunct professor, at the University of Akron School of Law. As a former Patent Examiner at the US Patent Office, Scott has particular insight into patent procurement matters.
Scott earned his engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines and his J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Ohio and nationally before the US Patent Office.
