Mark Hoersten has 38 years of experience spanning the full range of product marketing, from opportunity identification to product/solution development to global B2B go-to-market strategy and execution.
Mark most recently served as VP of Marketing for Keithley Instruments, an organization that enables their customers in the electronics and semiconductor industries to gain unique insight into the electrical performance of materials, devices, and systems both with R&D and production applications. In this role, Mark was responsible for all marketing functions, including strategy and planning, the development of product roadmaps, as well as outbound marketing focused on driving sales.
Mark has extensive experience focusing on end-customer applications and value propositions. In addition, many of the positions held throughout his career at Keithley involved working closely with customers to clearly understand their pain points and what they were trying to accomplish. This customer/application approach led to a range of highly successful products that created a strong competitive advantage and growth of the company.
He started his career at Keithley as a design engineer, gaining firsthand experience of what it takes to bring all the technology elements together for innovative designs. That was followed by leadership positions in product development, product marketing, business management, and VP of Marketing. After an exciting and broad career at Keithley Instruments, Mark has recently retired and is eager to share his experience.
Mark holds an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cleveland State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo.
