Dan Hartnett is a technology, operations and commercialization leader with experiences in many market segments, including energy, oil and gas, semiconductor, manufacturing, process and factory automation, HVAC, healthcare, consumer products. Responsible for both organic and non-organic growth, he is skilled at identifying high-impact growth opportunities, articulating compelling business plans and executing profitable monetization strategies.
Dan has held senior leadership positions at Parker Hannifin, Eaton and Rockwell Automation in various roles, including Vice President of Marketing & Sales, Engineering & Innovation, Business Development and M&A. His career journey has traversed many functional areas and provided a rich set of hands-on experiences in strategic planning, competitive analysis, product management, strategic pricing, design engineering, operations and channel management. With this unique combination of business acumen, high-tech expertise and holistic leadership, he is able to rapidly assess underlying challenges and untapped synergies.
Leading hundreds of engineers throughout his career, Dan’s teams delivered countless innovations involving new materials, electronics, software, integrated solutions, IoT, big data and SaaS offerings that generated millions of new product sales annually, standardized work processes, revitalized test laboratories and improved productivity.
Dan also led marketing and sales teams that drove sustainable market share gains, and increased customer satisfaction, repeat buying and Net Promotor Scores. Dan pioneered many breakthrough marketing strategies to increase and solidify brand awareness across key markets that resulted in an explosive increase in website and social media traffic.
Dan serves on Saint Joseph Academy Board of Directors and chairs the Academic Committee. He is the Co-Founder of Global Wellness Day in Cleveland, and is a Strategic Advisor to A. E. Hoyer Media Enterprises.
Dan holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, an MS in Industrial Engineering from Cleveland State University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.
