Jim Stifler

Economic Development Director, City of Hudson

Jim is responsible for the attraction and retention of businesses of all types and sizes to one of Ohio’s premier communities in his current role as Economic Development Director for the City of Hudson.

Prior to the City of Hudson, Jim led the retention of critical clients at Empower Retirement–following a corporate acquisition. While shaping and delivering messaging that introduced existing Fortune 300 clients to the newly formed organization, he successfully retained the majority of the organization’s key clients.

Prior to Empower Retirement, Jim served as Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. In this role, he led a long-cycle, consultative sales effort of corporate retirement solutions for large U.S. based companies. Jim interfaced with C-Suite, Board Committees, Finance and HR leadership, and formed new relationships while deepening existing mandates to significantly increase shareholder value.

Over the last decade, Jim has dedicated his free time to volunteering at Old Trail School in various roles through the years, including Trustee, Development Chair, member of Campaign Steering Committee, member of the Executive Committee and Head of School Search Team.

Jim holds a bachelor’s in Finance from The Ohio State University.
