Additive Manufacturing Lightweighting Targeted Audience:
Incumbent workforce participants from industry and government with a bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline. An initial interest survey of topics and guidelines for self-selection in AM lightweighting will be provided to the course participants to assess level of preparedness.

Participants in Target Audience include:
Business Leadership, Product Developer, Engineering Manager,Biomedical Engineers, Non-Metallurgists, Space Communications Scientists, Material Scientists, Product Research and End Users. The curriculum suits both beginners and experts in AM and emphasizes both breadth and rigor. Note: This course has limited enrollment. Please apply early to guarantee your spot.

Additive Manufacturing Lightweighting Course Length:
Two days with a focus on pedagogy on day one and interactive work on the second day with case study applications including hands-on work and practical applications, including lab tours.

AM Course Benefits:

• Technically sound lectures including: AM process fundamentals, material properties, design rules, qualification methods, cost and value analysis, and industrial and consumer applications o AM. Specific emphasis will be placed on design principles and part performance.
