Banyan Technology, a freight management tech company in Elyria, today announced a donation of gifts and household items valued at over $3,700 to local children and families in Lorain County.
Banyan employees packed up over 100 gifts for 30 local children, and dozens of family and senior citizen baskets full of household necessities for the Christmas for Caring annual fundraising effort for Neighborhood Alliance, a non-profit organization that provides assistance for families in Lorain County and surrounding areas.
“Banyan is proud to support Neighborhood Alliance,” said Brian Smith, CEO of Banyan Technology. “We’re so thrilled to be a part of this fundraising effort. It is astounding to see the passion that Banyan employees have for supporting their local community.”
Over the past 3 years supporting the Christmas for Caring program, Banyan Technology has donated more than $7,500 to Neighborhood Alliance.
“The holiday season can be a particularly tough time for children and families who are struggling,” said Ashley Ortiz, Banyan employee and fundraising champion. “Thank you to everyone that has donated and helped with the efforts for the past three years. We have been able to touch so many lives thanks to your generosity.”
In addition to the Christmas for Caring fundraising effort, Banyan Technology embraces the spirit of corporate and community giving throughout the year, supporting charities and community organizations in northeast Ohio, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland and Sheffield Schools – Brookside Robotics Program.
