Tom Barrett has 25 years of management experience in high-growth and turnaround companies from startup to Fortune 500. He has been part of 2 IPO’s and 5 M&A’s. Tom has extensive global experience in building and developing high performing teams in multiple industries.
Tom currently serves as CEO of 7Signal, a developer of cloud-based Wi-Fi performance management software that enables enterprises and service providers to manage the Wi-Fi user experience on their networks.
Prior to 7Signal, he served as Portfolio CEO of Brennan Management Group, a family office that owns and operates businesses across a variety of industries where he managed a collection of businesses with $130 million in revenue and 2,000 employees. He led the turnaround and sale of this organization over a five-year term.
In 1999, Tom started the North American sales organization for iPass, a leading global remote access provider, which grew from inception to $100 million in recurring annual sales during his tenure. In July of 2003, iPass completed one of the most successful IPOs of the year.
Tom serves on the Board of Directors at Futures in Education, WebTeach and Monarch Teaching Technologies. He is an investor and partner at Glengary Ventures with direct investments in more than 12 early-stage companies. He has been an active contributor to the Cleveland community through The Ohio Business Roundtable, Young Presidents Organization, St. Ignatius High School, Great Lakes Science Center, Catholic Charities and the Community West Foundation.
Tom holds a bachelor’s in Organizational Communications from the University of Kansas.
