As part of the KeyBank Business Boost & Build program in Upstate New York, Tamika is responsible for managing the partnerships which receive financial and technical assistance through grant funding, delivering the outcomes required of KeyBank funders and stakeholders and achieving JumpStart’s needed objectives for these programs.
Tamika brings more than a decade of experience in successful program management at the federal level as well as a passion for helping entrepreneurs and small business owners manifest their dreams, as she describes herself as a “serial entrepreneur.” Prior to joining JumpStart, Tamika served as Project Director of the Western New York Outreach and Admissions project for the federally-funded Job Corps program.
She is the Leadership Council Secretary for the Women’s Fund of Central New York, a founding board member and Secretary of The Black Women Give Foundation and was appointed by the County Executive to her local Youth Board in 2016.
In 2016, Tamika was a recipient of the 40 Under 40 Latino Rising Stars awarded by the Hispanic Coalition of New York in recognition of her work in communities of color.
Tamika studied Social Work at West Chester University and is a graduate of both The Pacific Institute Leadership Training and the Nourishing Tomorrow’s Leaders board development and diversity training. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Non-Profit Management and Public Policy at SUNY Empire State College.
