Taesun is a results-driven executive with over 20 years of broad functional experience in various technology-based industries, including electronic consumer packaged goods, specialty chemicals, electronics, semiconductor equipment, polymers, automotive, fasteners and distribution. He has demonstrated success in driving sales and profit growth with a track record in improving productivity as well as formulating and executing business strategies.
Taesun is currently the Vice President and Controller at Kent Displays, a venture-capital-backed company and a recognized global leader of flexible, no-power, LCD technology. In his role, he has led numerous internal teams and created scalable processes to deliver 7X revenue growth. Prior to his advancement as the Vice President of Operations, he joined Kent Displays as the Director of Product Planning. His primary responsibility was leading a cross-functional team in a pilot manufacturing project for a new product.
He currently serves as chair on the Executive Advisory Board for The University of Akron, College of Business Administration, The Institute of Global Business, as well as on the board of directors for Notre Dame College.
Taesun holds a bachelor’s in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University, has attended the Materials Science and Engineering graduate program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
