Mark Teague has more than twenty years of leadership experience in investment banking, private equity and venture capital at the fund, portfolio operating company and management levels.
Mark currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of BioMotiv, a mission-driven accelerator that focuses on advancing breakthrough discoveries from research institutions into therapeutics for patients. In this role, he is responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all finance, human resources and administration functions.
Prior to joining BioMotiv, Mark served as Managing Director for Venture Management Solutions Group–an organization he founded. Venture Management Solutions provides consulting services to early-stage ventures in functional areas of general management, fundraising finance, administration and operations. During his tenure, Mark oversaw the vital work that helped his early-stage technology venture clients achieve value-creating milestones faster and more efficiently.
Prior to founding Venture Management Solutions Group, Mark served as Vice President and CFO/CPP of Neuros Medical, a medical device startup. In this position, he was responsible for reducing execution risk of this early stage venture by managing the administration, operations and finance functions in order to facilitate and sharpen the entrepreneurial team’s focus and concentration on achieving technology development and commercialization milestones.
Mark is a member of North Coast Angel Funds II & III, a Cleveland angel fund focused on early-stage technology ventures. In addition, he serves on their Investment Screening Committee.
Mark holds a bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Virginia.
