Mark Hartel has been a leader in the manufacturing industry for over 20 years — owning and operating multiple manufacturing companies. He has negotiated both small and large contracts ($25MM+) with foreign and domestic companies. He currently advises on business acquisitions and consults with distressed companies and guides their successful turnarounds.
Mark has successfully implemented disruptive technologies and products in a variety of industrial segments. This experience created opportunities for Mark to work with institutions of higher education on the commercialization of intellectual property developed by researchers and inventors. As part of those efforts, Mark has been involved as a mentor for Ohio’s inaugural cohort for the NSF I-Corps, the SAE Global Automotive Innovation Challenge and JumpStart’s Burton D. Morgan Mentoring Program.
Mark is a mechanical engineer and holds a BSME from Cleveland State University.
