Kara Carter manages JumpStart’s corporate and community relationships, its mission and strategic imperatives while also contributing to the financial resources to fund our work. It is through this partnership lens that Kara manages the KeyBank Business Boost and Build program, a four-year initiative that helps microenterprise, startups, scaleups and community members thrive in Ohio and upstate New York. In addition to managing the program, Kara is leading the execution of one of the Boost and Build Programs, the Emerging Talent Network, that is focused on connecting non-college bound youth in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District with internships and permanent jobs in growing career fields. Kara also provides strategic leadership and tactical action across a broader range of activities including delivering or executing projects which create value in communities.
Prior to JumpStart, Kara was director of consulting services at Orion Advisory, LLC, a management consulting practice specializing in strategic planning, business performance management, and process improvement.
