Ed has spent most of his career as a healthcare executive focused on the delivery of post-acute care services and identifying solutions for bridging the needs of patients as they transition from hospital to home. Over time, that focus has shifted from the coordination and oversight of home care nursing and the functional delivery of services to sales and marketing, financial drivers for various disciplines and strategic and organizational development.
In 1988, Ed founded Clinical Specialties, an organization which evolved from a local provider of specialized infusion therapy services in the post-acute care setting to a major national provider of high-tech healthcare services in the home environment. Over the course of 27 years, Clinical Specialties serviced nearly 500,000 patients. In February 2015, Clinical Specialties was acquired by Option Care, a leading provider of home and alternate treatment site infusion services.
In his most recent role, Ed served as Transition Management for Option Care, engaging in the transition of leadership post-acquisition.
Ed holds a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy from the University of Toledo and an MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services from Kent State University.
