Duke Jankura works to maintain and continually improve JumpStart’s financial soundness and administrative efficiency and is responsible for the preparation and review of annual audited statements, monthly financial statements and special financial reports required by funding organizations. He oversees all accounting functions, manages financial systems and the internal control procedures.
Previously, Duke was JumpStart’s CFO from its founding in 2004 through 2014, before he moved on to manage the finances of a family office in Akron for several years. Prior to his first term with JumpStart, Duke worked in the financial services industry, beginning in the late ’80s with The Travelers Companies and later KeyCorp/McDonald Investments, then progressing to Controllership of a brokerage company.
Duke served his country as a Logistics/Embarkation officer in the United States Marine Corps prior to completing his MBA and BSBA at the University of Hartford.
