Darrell McNair is President/CEO of MVP Plastics Corporation, a custom injection molder, servicing the automotive, medical and recreational markets.
Darrell’s professional achievements included marketing and finance positions at IBM and Ford respectively and entrepreneurial ventures ranging from medical supply, home health care, construction and retail.
The Presidents’ Council, LLC, an company dedicated to building economic empowerment by advancing African American businesses through equity investments. Under Darrell’s leadership he has created strategic partnerships with corporate and government entities whereby enhancing growth and wealth creation opportunities for the minority business community.
He has a passion for working with small businesses and mentoring young African American males. Darrell has established Real Life 101 scholarship programs at two area high schools – East Technical High School, Warrensville Heights High School and a scholarship in honor of his father at Akron East High School.
Darrell is very active in greater Cleveland and Ohio while serving on the Boards of numerous civic and community organizations including, Playhouse Square Foundation, University Hospital, Cleveland Sports Commission, Northern Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council (NOMSDC), Great Lakes Science Center, Kent State University Geauga Campus, and MAGNET. He also serves on two State of Ohio boards through appointments by Governor John Kasich – The Minority Business Financing Advisory Board and the Lake Erie Commission.
Darrell was a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District Superintendent Search Committee and is also an active member of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
He received a Bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University.
