JumpStart’s Second Annual Startup Scaleup Coming Next Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – For the second year, JumpStart Inc. and some of its closest partners are taking over Gordon Square for Startup Scaleup, an all-day festival-style event celebrating Northeast Ohio’s entrepreneurs and resources to help small business owners.

The June 28 event is a follow-up to last year’s inaugural event that drew about 1,200 people to the Gordon Square Arts District for a half-day of entrepreneurial learning, networking and live-pitching. This year, it’s going on all-day.

Attendees can customize their day by attending sessions, pitch competitions, networking events and workshops based on their areas of interest, according to JumpStart.

But this year, Startup Scaleup will feature two new “track options” to help attendees navigate the day. One is focused on startup-related topics, and the other deals more with scaling existing businesses.

JumpStart expects attendees, representing early-stage tech startups to established small businesses.

“What we learned last year is that while attendees really appreciate the festival style atmosphere, they also wanted some options for how to structure their day,” said Amy Martin, JumpStart’s head of marketing.

“Many will still choose to chart their own unique path through the agenda, but these track options will help a busy startup entrepreneur or small-business owner find the sessions that are really laser-focused on what they need.”
