NEO’s Big Summer Continues With The Premier Of ‘Cleveland Hustles’

It’s been a great couple of months for Northeast Ohio! The Cavs won the NBA finals, the city of Cleveland nailed the hosting gig for the RNC and now a brand new television show featuring our homegrown entrepreneurs has made its big debut on CNBC.

The show is called Cleveland Hustles, and it’s produced and promoted by none other than the reigning NBA finals MVP, LeBron James. Not only does the program bring together four established NEO entrepreneurs (including local food icon Jonathan Sawyer) to serve as mentors/investors for a group of up-and-comers—it also puts our region’s scrappy, hard-working culture on full national display.

Here’s a segment focusing on the rise of Cleveland’s Detroit Shoreway neighborhood. The video also profiles Cleveland craft soda startup, Old City Soda.

As part of the run-up to the big premier, JumpStart CEO Ray Leach also spent some time with visiting reporters, where he discussed Cleveland’s entrepreneurial resurgence.

Here’s a segment featuring Ray and Cleveland Whiskey founder Tom Lix .

And here is a segment profiling JumpStart’s new Focus Fund, which invests seed capital in tech-based companies led by minority or female entrepreneurs throughout Ohio – as well as those willing to move to the state.

Cleveland Hustles airs Wednesdays at 10pm on CNBC.
