Five Questions with Timiko Kiner of Mane Medic Hair Rejuvenation

Mane Medic helps build self-confidence by making clients feel natural, attractive, and comfortable through a confidential and cost-effective approach.

What inspired you to create your business?

I was inspired by the number of people who were coming to me experiencing hair loss issues and I wanted to find an underlying reason for why that happens, other than just covering up the problem.

I took my step forward and went to trichology school and hair replacement school so I could provide both services to help people regrow hair and help people who have irreversible hair loss still feel comfortable about the way that they look.

How did you first learn about JumpStart and the Northwest Ohio Impact program?

I learned about the Impact Program by attending another event for financial lenders and somebody mentioned the Impact Program. Right then and there I went online, right in the parking lot, and filled out my application.

What has been your biggest takeaway from the Northwest Ohio Impact Program?

The program has helped me understand the back-office part of the business, organize it and be able to better articulate it.

What is the most important thing the program offers to entrepreneurs?

Learning how to streamline your business plan and break it all the way down to the bones, because that’s what people are looking for when you’re seeking capital.

What are your future plans for your business?

If I can get more information on my business out to the community and train more people to do what I do, I can see Mane Medic being a household name just like Bosley, HairClub or anybody else.
