SIBER (Society for International Bioentrepreneurship Education and Research) is a key global forum for developing academic education and research in bioentrepreneurship, a field which has its own set of unique and important issues, distinct from mainstream university education in entrepreneurship.

SIBER 2017 agenda items include an overview of ongoing and new academic program structures globally, barriers to initiating and continuing programs in bioentrepreneurship, the view of students and employers of the programs, the placements of students to gain real world experience and modes of cooperation between programs, along with the place and for a SIBER global business plan competition.
