The National Cancer Institute’s Small Business Innovation Research (NCI SBIR) Development Center provides funding, networking, and mentoring assistance to small businesses with innovative cancer technology projects. On August 30, NCI SBIR Program Director Christie Canaria will be presenting funding opportunities and other commercialization resources for small businesses in Northeast Ohio. During the presentation, Dr. Canaria will cover topics including:

• New and existing funding opportunities
• Investor and training programs such as the I-Corps at NIH entrepreneurship program
• Application tips and suggestions

Following the presentation, companies and staff will have a chance to meet one-on-one with Dr. Canaria to discuss their cancer technology project and funding eligibility.
