The Commission on Economic Inclusion and the Cleveland Society of Human Resource Management (CSHRM) are co-presenting an interactive workshop for diversity and HR professionals on “Mitigating the Effects of Unconscious Bias,” on Wednesday, July 6 at Baldwin Wallace University’s Center for Innovation and Growth.
The workshop, to be held from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m., will provide an introduction to the neuroscience of unconscious bias and a discussion on how to mitigate its effects in our organizations.
Attendees will learn how unconscious bias works in individuals, the ramifications for organizational effectiveness and how organizations can design policies and procedures to diminish its effects.
Participants also will have an opportunity to brainstorm and share concrete steps they can take to address unconscious bias in their workplaces.
