2016 Funding Round
The Wooster Opportunity Loan Fund is announcing its 2016 Funding Round and inviting applications from technology-focused business start-ups within (or willing to locate to) Wayne County. Interested entrepreneurs can apply for loans of up to $35,000 from the program by November 4, 2016. Managed by Wooster Growth, the City of Wooster’s nonprofit community improvement corporation, the WOLF is designed as a local capital resource for local entrepreneurs with a focus on businesses with high-growth potential.

Information Session
Interested applicants are invited to attend an information session on Thursday, October 6th at 6:00pm, taking place at the APEX at the College of Wooster (Located in the Lower Level of the Gault Library, at 1140 Beall Avenue, Wooster, OH 44691.) Please visit www.woosteroh.com/WOLF for directions and parking options. Light refreshments will also be available.

At this session, representatives from the City of Wooster, the Wayne Economic Development Council, the Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce and JumpStart Inc. will be on hand to answer questions from students, entrepreneurs, professionals and interested community members about WOLF and its eligibility requirements. Additionally, information will be shared on other local resources for entrepreneurs, such as the JumpStart Entrepreneurial Network, the Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce, Ohio’s Small Business Development Center, the Senior Corps of Retired Executives, the College of Wooster’s Center for Entrepreneurship, the BioHio Research Park at Ohio State University’s Wooster Campus, and the BrainTree business incubator.

Whether working to gain market traction, to launch a start-up, or even if simply exploring a possible business idea for the future, the October 6, 2016 Information Session will provide an overview of the many local resources available.
