Entrepreneurs need to hone their elevator speech in preparation for Hudson Library’s fourth annual “Pitch Night” competition. Ten finalists will be selected from the pool of online applications to pitch their business ideas to a panel of expert judges in front of an audience.
Participants will need to apply online at hudsonlibrary.org for one of the 10-minute time slots available for this “shark tank” style program. Online applications will be accepted starting Monday, October 10, and must be received by Monday, October 31, 2016. The ten finalists chosen to pitch will be notified by Monday, November 7. A $3,000 cash prize will be awarded to the first place winner, second place will receive $1,500 and third place will receive $500. The public is welcome to participate as a member of the audience and watch the competition. Visit www.hudsonlibrary.org for details.
This event is one of many planned for the City of Hudson’s celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), returning for the third consecutive year, November 14-20. “Pitch Night” and GEW 2016 are generously supported by the Burton D. Morgan Foundation. More information and links to register can be found at hudsonlibrary.org
