Biomimicry is the process of studying nature in order to design nature-inspired solutions to human problems. Learn more about this exciting field and its great potential to impact the economy of Northeast Ohio from the University of Akron’s Dr. Peter H. Niewiarowski.

Niewiarowski is a professor at the University of Akron’s Integrated Bioscience Department of Biology and a member of the Great Lakes Biomimicry consortium. Dr. Niewiarowski’s research primarily focuses on lizards and salamanders. He holds a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Pennsylvania.
