New rules on overtime pay will affect anyone who has salaried employees making less than $47,476 per year.
The U.S. Department of Labor has posted final overtime rules that change the minimum salary level for professional, administrative and executive employees.
This means that you’ll need to manage currently exempt employees who are making less than $47,476 per year as hourly employees, provide overtime, keep accurate time records, and adhere to other non-exempt rules.
These changes go into effect December 1, 2016. That may seem like plenty of time, but it will pass quickly, and there may be a lot to do to prepare.
Be ready! Learn more about the reasons for this change, the implications for small employers and the potential impact on your HR Policies on our upcoming webinar.
