Entrepreneur Insight: Angela Flowers, Making A Difference Consulting

While interacting daily with children in the school system, Angela Flowers became painfully aware of the insufficient and inconsistent mental health care available to students. With experience as a licensed social worker and therapist, Angela knew she had the knowledge and skills needed to tackle this problem.

In 2007, Angela co-founded Making A Difference Consulting, an in-school counseling service that teaches children valuable coping skills for improving both behavioral and academic performance. In addition, her company provides professional development and training for educators, youth development workers and parents.

Last year, Angela participated in JumpStart’s Core City: Cleveland Impact Program, an experience she credits with helping her to re-focus her business and pursue aggressive growth. Watch the video below to learn more about Angela’s involvement with the Impact Program and hear what’s in store for Making A Difference Consulting in the coming years.
