Two young Summit County companies — one in Twinsburg offering online services to physicians and pharmacists and a second in Akron in the alternative-energy business — are getting financial boosts from an area nonprofit.

JumpStart Ventures — which invests in early-stage companies in Northeast Ohio — has commited $250,000 to CoverMyMeds LLC of Twinsburg and an additional $100,000 to EchoGen of Akron.
