The Akron Global Business Accelerator is one of the longest-running business incubators in the country.
The 220,000-square-foot facility offers laboratory, manufacturing and office space. Right now the Accelerator has 54 biomedical, IT, advanced materials, instruments controls equipment and advanced energy companies. These clients can receive help with strategy, networking, fundraising, strategic relationships and other business-accelerating assistance. "We might help a young company add a team member, identify a lead customer or locate a complementary business partner already well-developed in a skill or trade they need to be successful," explains Anthony Margida, Ph.D., Director of Entrepreneurial Services.
