Last week, the Kauffman Foundation working in conjunction with a legendary professor at MIT, Ed Roberts, along with Charles Eesley published a report on the Entrepreneurial Impact of graduates from MIT. The report is nothing less than stunning.
As a Sloan Fellow who graduated from MIT and having the chance to spend significant time on campus, I am not surprised. This report is nothing less than inspirational and sets an incredibly high bar for higher-ed institutions across the world.
The report discusses that fact that there are 25,800 currently active companies founded by MIT alumni who employ over 3.3 million people worldwide and generate annual sales of over $2 trillion dollars producing the equivalent of the 11th largest economy of the world.
Anyone interested in the entrepreneurial economic impact a single institution can make must read this report!
