It has been demonstrated that existing industries are no longer driving significant growth within Northeast Ohio. This is not unique to our region; according to a Kauffman Foundation study, nationally all new job growth is coming from companies that have started in the last 5 years. JumpStart's targeted assistance to early-stage high potential small businesses will ultimately create new employment opportunities for Northeast Ohio residents, which will alleviate economic distress and reduce the burden on government. The wealth created and jobs that result from our activities will help to revitalize the economy in Northeast Ohio.

JumpStart strives, through its activities, to create a thriving entrepreneurial economy of prosperous companies and citizens in Northeast Ohio.

JumpStart's efforts have yielded promising results. Whether it’s through news coverage about results and successes JumpStart companies have received, the entrepreneurial attendance at any one of the many JumpStart events, or the amount of venture capital flowing into companies here, JumpStart has improved client success. JumpStart’s results reflect the impact JumpStart has had thus far on early-stage company investment, follow-on funding, job creation, inclusion initiatives, and more.

JumpStart’s public and private financial supporters enable us to accelerate the growth of early-stage companies in Northeast Ohio — today and for future generations. JumpStart is a non-profit and does not generate its own sources of revenue sufficient to support its investing activities or operating expenses. All the services provided to entrepreneurs are free. As a result, the JumpStart team hopes you will join us in committing to the region's revitalization and become a financial partner with us in this journey.
