Growing Northeast Ohio’s High-Tech Economy with NorTech’s Rebecca Bagley

Rebecca O. Bagley, President and CEO of NorTech, the Northeast Ohio Technology Coalition, will discuss “Growing Northeast Ohio’s High-Tech Economy.”

Ms. Bagley will explain NorTech’s Technology-Based Economic Development Initiatives in Northeast Ohio, and specifically their Advanced Energy Initiative. One of NorTech’s goals is to accelerate commercial activity and create jobs in Northeast Ohio’s advanced energy industry. Recently, NorTech began to facilitate the creation of the Lake Erie Energy Development Corporation (LEEDCo), a regional non-profit organization that will be responsible for accelerating offshore wind deployment in Lake Erie. Another recent project of NorTech’s is the creation of a sustainable business strategy, operational plan, and governance structure for a “cleantech” incubator in Warren, Ohio, called the Technology and Business Center for Energy Sustainability.
