As much as this blog creates awareness of the tech startup openings in Northeast Ohio (currently there are more than 60 jobs), the main objective is to actually fill those jobs. In that spirit, this week’s edition features a few of the fresh faces new to JumpStart portfolio and client companies.

Evan FacherEvan Facher, Ph.D, President and CEO, SironRx

Evan is in the process of moving his family from Pittsburgh (chalk one up for the good guys) as he assumes his duties as President and CEO of SironRx, a regenerative medicine company focused on wound healing. Evan was most recently a General Manager at MedRad, overseeing a $70 million interventional medical device business unit. He previously spent time in Cleveland with Athersys after receiving his MBA from CWRU’s Weatherhead School of Business.

Karen WalkerKaren Walker, Office Manager and Customer Service Leader, Wireless Environment

Karen was most recently a Channel Relations Manager for SalonQuest, makers of the Aquage brand of hair salon products. Her role at Wireless Environment, an LED lighting maker, is to oversee customer engagement strategies while making sure the office runs smoothly, which is no small feat in a company whose sales more than doubled last year.

Alan GilbertAlan Gilbert, VP of Technology, CoverMyMeds

Alan joins CoverMyMeds after spending the last 15 years with Codonics, a medical imaging technology company that grew tenfold during his time there. He joins a stellar management team that has quickly become a leader in the healthcare IT space.
